i need help..please!!! (Check Engine Light)

ok, i have a 2002 Nissan Sentra and the check engine light is on. My husband took it to a friend and had it plugged into the machine. It is saying....Heated oxygen sensor 2 heater. does anyone know what that is? Supposedly they say it's not the oxygen sensor..that it could be that the circuit is open or shorted. I don't know how to go about fixing it or what it could be. ANy suggestions? PLease!! thank u

ummm...who told you it wasnt that O2 sensor?

There is a heater built into the O2 sensor which reaches about 600-650 degrees before it can produce a voltage.

The heater is part of the sensor and cannot be replaced separately, so if the heater circuit is open or shorted and the problem is not in the external wiring or sensor connector, the O2 sensor must be replaced.

While it is hypothetically possible to have a wiring problem, I have yet to run into one when that code pops up........100% (or just about) O2 sensor problem
