I have a 1995 Ford Aerostar Van and the emergency brake is frozen. Can I replace the brake cable myself ? How do I get at it in the car to replace it? Thanks

Is it the cable or are the rear shoes stuck?
If you have rear drum brakes, you can stick a screwdriver in the hole in the rear of the drum and turn. This should release the shoes from the drum.
