92 Chrysler Brakes

I have a 92 chrysler 5th Ave Landau New Yorker and the left front brake has been a mystery for quite some time now. I have'nt lost braking power and fluid is fine and caliper was changed. Has new rotors and pads. The mystery is I always hear this rubbing noise and sometimes I can smell something like you smell when you grind down rotors like a burnt metal smell. Also I have white wall tires and the white on the outside seems to always have a layer of black on it that washes off. I have looked at everything and can't pin point it. The rotor is fine, pads are ok, etc...anyone have anything that you can think of?

The pads have to be rubbing and not releasing fully off the rotor.

The black stuff is just brake dust. You will have more of this if your pads are rubbing.

In line with the pads not fully releasing, you may have either a sticky slider on the caliper that needs some lubrication or a bad brake hose on that side.
