Ford Ranger Drum Brake Question

1997 Ford Ranger, 2WD, V6, 4.0L. I have done disc brake before and know it is better to rotor resurface when changing new disc brake pad. I want to change drum brake shoe. Does drum rotor needs to resurface, too? What is the minmum require thickness of drum brake shoe for this car? Thanks in advance!

Sometimes it is as cheap to buy new drums as it is to have them turned. Check the prices.
