alternater problems
I have a '94 eagle talon front wheel drive 1.8. I put on a new alternater and a new belt, the next day the belt broke so i put on another belt. Its been 2 days and its ran fine but now it wont stop squeeling and it smells like it is burning rubber. What could be causing it to this?

Here's a link for your vehicle.
This link will tell you how to measure if your belt is too tight or loose.

There is a bolt tenstioner on the alternator which you put on. You need to probably loosen this up some. Scroll halfway down the linked page and it will tell you how.
