Hello;
I am new to this forum -- i need advice about the installation process for installing a Thermostate in a 2001 Ford Tarus OHC 24 Value Duratec- I purchased a Chilton Repar Manual from the local parts store- but it does not give a adequate picture or diagram of where the actual part is on the OHC model.
It just says it is connected to the lower radiator hose. Can any one give me guidance on the location and process the space is tight? -- I am a green horn at this and can't afford to take it to a mechanic right now! Please help! Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums!
If your books states follow the lower radiator hose until it gets to the engine, it will be right at the end of the hose and where it mates into the engine. It is usually held on by just two-three bolts. Very simple.
Once the bolts are removed and the hose pulled back, the thermostat will be right there.
What exactly is the problem you are having? Overheating?
