1997 GMC P0141 revisited
I posted a thread to this a while back but the problem arose again. While driving the other day the check engine light came on. Got home and read the code to discover the P0141. To my dismay the code reader told me the ECM was not responding to a request to read the Bank1 Sensor2 O2 sensor. This leads me to think an ECM problem, ground problem, wiring problem or something in between. (for those of you searching for my earlier delima - no the ABS light problem is still not fixed).
I still have the freeze frame data if anyone knows how to read it.

Have you replaced this O2 sensor? I doubt it's the ECM. The scanner should tell you if it's not communicating with it correctly.
If the O2 sensor is bad, maybe it won't allow you to get a voltage reading, i dunno.
Can you post a link to your other thread, I don't remember what you have replaced.

Haven't replaced anything and it has been quite a long time since it gave this code. Another wierd thing is the interior lights work when they want to. The link to my old post is as follows:

These two problems should not be related.
Air bag system is complicated and should only be diagnosed by a service technician.
I have heard of auto manufacturers schedule the light to come on 10 yrs after manufacture because that's when they need to be reinspected to make sure they are serviceable. Not sure if you vehicle was done like this.
