Super Beetle air conditining

!998 super beetle air conditioning does not blow cold all the time. When trying to recharge the system it shows that the psi is too high, over 100 lbs psi on the low side. There also is no water under the vehicle after running air. I am thinking that something is plugged up and if so what do I need to do to correct this problem? Any help?

with the guages installed and the engine running and a/c on your low side pressure should be between 30-50 psi if it stays at 100 psi it sounds like the a/c compressor either isnt engaging and running at all due to an electrical problem, or it is running and the compressor is bad.

Are you sure you are getting the pressure of the system and not the can of refrigerant? Can you hear your compressor engage?
