'96 trans sport rear door reset

the rear door on our pontiac trans sport has stopped working, and i have heard there is a reset for it somewhere, where is this as it isnt covered in any of the manuals i have for the vehical,

there is also a problem with the battery, it has and continues to drain itself, with no apparent means of it being drained, is there a likely circuit that is doing this or could the power door be doing this

thank you

alex

Have you tested your alternator to make sure the battery is getting the correct voltage to recharge?

This lack of power may cause your door issue as well. Is this back door motor driven to open, or is it a simple "click" when you command it to open?

Figuring out what is drawing the battery down can be frustrating and time consuming. You want to check the obvious like:

Is any of the dome or glove box lights staying on?

Is the radio staying on?

Too determine what circuit is using the juice, you will have to pull that respect fuse out. I usually start by removing the radio fuse.
