Question 1996 Pontiac Transport Van

The "ABS" & the little light by the gas tank light stays on--nothing electrical will work---power windows, air or heating, lights, only the horn will work. Have changed all fuses----any suggestions?
Thank you

Have you replaced your battery and tested your alternator and inspected those cables?

The ABS light is first to go on when the system is not getting enough voltage.

Are you referring to the battery light as well?

No, we have only disconnected the battery cable for a short while--someone told us it might reset everything. I truthfully do not know what "light" that is by the little gas tank light on the right of the speedometer--which doesn't work either. Thank you, I will try this---I am desperate right now for any kind of answer. Say a prayer--hope this works. If you have another suggestion--please let me know--you have been a great help.

Sounds like a dead battery or alternator/cable problem.

Autozone, Super Walmarts, etc, can put a load on the battery and determine of it's dead.

Autozone stores can also test your alternator if you are able to get it there.
