2000 K2500..........misfire.....

02' K2500,7.4,4spAuto 80+miles......rough at idle, smooths out on accel, but with a slight miss at higher rpms. Cap,rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, all changed. Fuel pressure 55#,has set no codes(scanned it)....Compression about 130# averge....... Could it be a dirty crank sensor?

This is a diesel? I know with regular fuel vehicles, the MAF/MAP sensor could cause these problems.

This sensor is located on the intake tube. They make cleaner for this part but it's usually smarter just to replace it.

Try disconnecting the harness on this sensor, start vehicle up, and see how it idles. If it idles smoother, that's your problem.
