2003 Hyundai Accent

I'm having gas problems with my 2003 Hyundai Accent GL. The vent hose that lets air escape when I fill up the car with Gas keeps getting clogged up by these little charcoal pebbles. I keep emptying out the vent house but the pebbles keep coming back. Does anyone know what those pebbles are and why they keep clogging up the vent hose? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

At some point............somebody tried to squeeze the extra drop in the tank on fill up...........You got raw fuel into the canister.......and now the charcoal has found it's way into your tank..........
Run it to as close to empty as possible............remove the tank and clear the charcoal.........Blow out the lines to the cannister..........and replace the cannister

Yes, this canister filters out the fumes so it's not all released into the atmosphere.

Usually it is round.
