Oil for 99 Intrepid

i have a 2002 two wheel-drive gmc sonoma pick-up. Everytime i slow down and hit ten miles an hour the abs kicks in and it keeps rolling like its not gonna stop. i dont know if this matters but it also pulls to the right real hard at ten miles an hour when the abs kicks in. i pulled the wheels, and calipers, and rotors off and cleaned the abs sensors and the teeth on the back of the rotor, but besides that i didnt really know what to look for or what the problem might be. i just hoped that maybe when i put everything back together it would be fixed. but of course it wasnt. so i was just wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this problem and could help me out i would really appreciate it. for now i just took the ABS fuse out so that it wouldnt do it anymore, which is not a big deal but i still would like to eventually fix it. thanks

1990 Merc Cougar 190K miles, 3.8 L auto. Tranny has been rebuilt for the second time, first rebuild lasted about 85K miles. After they did the job they told me to drive om D in town and use overdrive for the expressways only, told me that it will lessen the load on the tranny and prolong it's life. I've never heard of that before and thought that on the more or less flat terrain one should always use overdrive unless you are pulling load or something like that. So does anybody can tell me if there is any truth to that or they are just covering up a questionable job. I have some rattling on the back of the driver's side (not sure about passenger's side yet) that was not there before and excessive vibration on the front end also. To top it, driving on D kills my gas milege. What do you guys think? Thanks. Irina.
