Question 01 Dakota brake noise...

01 Dakota 4x4 crew cab 4.7L.

Front brakes making a sh sh sh sh sh noise all the time. A little pulsating in brake pedal also. I changed rotors and pads. Sh sh sh sh sh noise is gone, now a new noise. A constant rubbing noise. Sounds like pad rubbing all the time. Any reasons why this might happen and if there might be another culprit for the noise. Sounds like mostly comes from the front right.

This caliper piston might not be going all the way back in which is probably causing your rubbing issue.

Liberally spray the caliper with brake cleaner and see if that helps. If not, then you will have to rebuilt the caliper or get a new one most likely.

Thanks Mark. I am going to give the spray a try. I like the easiest cheapest solution(?) hopefully. I'll buy new if I have to. Do you think it's best to change one or both?
