Cool P0340 Code

From the materials I have read this error is the cam shaft sensor error. I went and purchased a new sensor. I have a 1997 Ford Ranger; 4.0L engine; engine had 67,000 miles. Can anyone out there tell me where the cam shaft sensor is located? I can find materials with the locations of the sensors on the 2.3 and the 3.0 but not the 4.0L.

Any help would be great!

It should be upper engine area, mounted behind rear of intake manifold, in the engine block.

Mitchell on Demand is saying your sensor is on the top rear of the engine!
