97 & 98 Plymouth Voyager/Caravan body repair question
I just recently purchased a 1997 plymouth grand voyager to replace my 1998 grand caravan that is literally falling apart. The 1997 is in much better condition overall except for one minor issue - the rear hatch was crushed in a bit on the drivers side. It still closes and locks, it's just crushed in.
Both of the vans have the same paint code and it looks like the paint fading is a near match (of course, it may still be off a little bit) but how hard would it be to take the rear hatch from the 98 and put it on the 97? Of course, minus the mounting bolts and the hydraulic door opener/holder (and it being a multi person job) the only thing that I'm not sure about is the wiring. Is there a good way to do this? Can it even be done? Do the harnesses come off easy some way?

Should not be that difficult if they are the same door, which they probably are.
You will probably have to disconnect the harness somewhere within the hatch, but shouldn't give you to much trouble.
