Hello everyone I need some help with my Dodge Durango 2004 which has about 60000 miles on it. The check engine light wont turn off but the car runs very well and I wanted to know if I could get some repair help before I bring it to the shop? Any help will be appreciated and thanks alot for looking..

Hello!
Bring your car by a local Autozone or similar auto store and they will read the check engine light codes for free. When you get this code, come back here and let us know what it was and we can go from there. I'm guessing it's going to be a O2 sensor.
Typically, it will be a 4 digit code with a P in front. EX: P0150, etc.

It could be a faulty O2 or cat. converter. This O2 probably set off that other code as well.
This sensor is after the cat. This is a emmissions issue and Dodge typically has a 80,000 mile warranty for issues like them. Give a dealer a call and verify and hopefully you get the work done for free.

The check engine light will have a Trouble code associated with it...have the codes read and post back...
The lightning bolt is a failure in the ETC circuitry....(Electric throttle control)....if you look under the hood , you will notice that there is
"NO THROTTLE CABLE".....Your throttle is actuated by the PCM after it interprets the information from various sensors and switches.
C/E light is more than likely related to a problem in the ETC
