Engine oil opinions

I know this question has come up before. When my car was new i took it to
the dealer for all routine service, and now that the warranty is over i'm thinking of having my oil changed at the local gas station because of convenince.
Question is the gas station is a Getty station that i have been trading with for years. Is Getty oil good brand?
Thanks

Is this synthetic? If not, then most regular blend oils are the same since they have the same refining process. Multiple brand oil may come from the same refinery but under a different label.

Most oils have to be at a certain levels these days
It's the law
You can however, still find oils only legal in certain states, so it's a good idea to do a little research, or ask a few questions

My bro-in-law says he notices far more crud in those engines that go to "who ever has a coupon" and gets multiple brands than those that stick with one brand, regardless of it's "rep" (as long as it does meet standards)

Just got off Getty's web site.I was Surprised that they have changed their name to a Russian company called LUKOIL. Who knows what is being put in our vehicles anymore.

...I was trying to remember the last time I saw a Getty station
They got bought out by LUKoil!

Oh well, dead Krkztkrlylstan-ian dinosaurs are just as good to make motor oil out of as dead Kuwaiti dinosaurs I guess

Any good service station will offer several brands of oil in addition to their own.

When I was in Russia, the Russians would not allow us to install Russian hydraulic fluid in their new American equipment. We had to fly in Shell hydraulic oil in 5 gallon pails from Amsterdam. - Maybe they knew something.
