98 Ford Ranger
My Ranger sat in my driveway through 100 degree weather for 7 days. When I returned home it will start and idle but will began missing and fading out when I press the gass peddle. My neighbor says it is a vapor lock or there in now water in the gas. I don't agree and think some emission control is faulty.
Any suggestions?

It's rare for fuel injected vehicles to vapor lock.
I would however, check your fuel filter, plugs and wires. If those do not turn up to be the problem, then check your fuel pressure to make sure the pump is working.
If it were emissions related, you would most likely get a trouble code (check engine light) because that is basically the main purpose of OBDII compliant vehicles.
