looking for fuel pump answer

My son has a 94 plymouth sundance duster with a 6 cy. It was wrecked. He's now looking at a 90 dodge shadow with 4 cy (I believe a 2.2). What we need to know is if the fuel pump from duster will work in the shadow. Haynes manual goes from years 87 to 94 with nothing listed differently. Please any info would be appreciated.

Autozone is showing two different part #'s for the fuel pump so I would say no.

I had an 86 Dodge van once with a 2.2 and it had the MECHANICAL fuel pump on the engine itself, in conjunction with a "carburetor". And on 90's Dodge cars they went to 2.5 engines with throttle body injection and in-the-tank ELECTRIC fuel pumps. This might help you somehow in knowing what to look for and ask.
