headlight problem

I have a 1996 Chevy 1500 silverado. I am having a problem with my headlights.
all of the parking lights work perfect, the daytime running lights work properly, but when i turn the headlights on they do not come on. it is not the switch, and there is power comming to the switch from the yellow wire like it should. i think that there is a relay or something some where that has faulted but i can not find it and the hanes manual does not list it. do you know where it is or another website that may be of more help? if you have any other ideas of what may be wrong i would greatly appericate it

Thank you.
TJ

What about your tail lights?

And Mitchell's reference books on wiring are very good.

Pull a headlight and check the socket for power from socket to ground, with the switch in the on position. If you have power, replace the headlight - or both of them. Many people don't realize that one headlight is burned out until the second one goes.
