Greasing Rotor

I am about to change the plug wires, cap, and rotor on my '97 Accord. I am wondering if dielectric grease should be used within the distributor, namely on the metal contacts of the rotor.

That would be a No. Do not put anything on those, just clean them.

So I shouldn't even grease the ends of the plug wires connecting to the cap?

On the plug wire connections would be okay; under the cap would not be a good idea as marbo says. Under the cap the grease would tend to collect dirt.

Car Making a Hooting Owl Sound

I know this is going to sound crazy before I even post it. In the last week or so, nearly every day, our '97 Camry has been making a hooting owl sound. Weird, I know. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car. We can't associate it with anything like brakes or turning. We are just riding down the road and we hear this "hoo" sound.
