1994 Ford Explorer Fuel Sending Unit
My fuel guage stopped working.
A mechanic says it's probably the fuel sending unit, inside the gas tank, and expensive to fix.
How can I check, and if it is, can I try to repair/replace it myself?

Fairy common issue with this year Explorer.
Majority of the people fixed it by replacing the sending unit/pump.
You could do it yourself with some basic tools.
