a/c and fan selector problem b2200
my mazda b2200 (1991) has a problem with the fan switch in the cab...
symptoms:
fan setting #1: a/c compressor comes on, but no fan
fan setting #2: a/c compressor will not come on, but have fan
fan setting #3: a/c compressor will not come on, but have fan (more fan than than setting #2)
fan setting #4: a/c compressor will not come on, but have high fan
so, when we get the 90 degree weather, i have to turn the fan selector to position #1 with the airflow selected on fresh air...wait a few seconds, turn the fan to high to blow out the cold air, then repeat...it takes a long time to get it bearable in the cab...
i have thought about the blower motor resistor, but can't seem to find it on my truck...plus, don't see why that would affect the a/c compressor not coming on...
any ideas???

blower resistor
changed the blower resistor and it works...
it fixed everything that was the problem...now the a/c works on all settings...
no problems...
part cost about $46...
now i have a/c in this 105 degree weather...yeah!!!
