Go to your throttle body and look for any single vacuum lines attached. Follow those back to a solenoid with wires and two vacuum lines - one will be constant (input), the other will be controlled (output) by the solenoid. The idle up jobbies usually control vacuum to the throttle body. When vacuum is applied it will kick up the idle the same way a vacuum leak would.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Found it, thanks. The dealer said that it has no solenoid, that it is an electronically controlled switch. $90 bucks, too. I wonder if a good cleaning inside there could do the trick? It's just such a pain taking off the throttle body assembly.

I couldn't say if that would do the trick, but since you're looking at 90 bucks, it wouldn't hurt to try. I don't know if a salvage yard would do you any good for something like that or not.
