Rear brakes on 2000 Impala

I am getting ready to replace the rear brake pads on a 2000 Chevy Impala. Can anyone tell me if the pistons in the rear calipers just push back in like the ones on the front or do they screw back into the caliper as I have seen on some cars? Thanks a lot for your help. If there is anything else that I need to be careful of on this job that is unusual you can let me know about that also if you would.

2000 Impala

They are the same as the front calipers. they are the push in type not the push and turn type. C-clamp will work fine.

Thanks. Is there anything to worry about with the emergency brake adjustment when replacing these back pads?

no dont touch the cables or anything unless the emergency brakes aren"t working if thats the case theres a little more work involved you have to remove the hub bearing etc. if so let me know i have a compter program call SI service information its a live link to GM for service manuals and can email you a few pages with pictures and steps on how to do it .grant.
