I don't know if it will help or not but I work in a tire factory and to keep the rubber smell out of my truck, which is definately carried with me in my clothes I keep an open pan of Arm and Hammer baking soda on the floor behind the driver seat. I don't guess it would matter where you keep it just in the car. I change it out or at least stir it once a month. Hope this helps. It is cheap and worth a try.

Yikes.
Does this mold only happen in the hot months when you are using your A/C?
You may also want to check to see if your car has a "in-cabin" air filter which is usually located behind the glovebox. If you do, change it.
I've never seen mold inside a car before. If the A/C is not properly pulling the humidity out and then drying it, there would be too much moisture in the vehicle.
