door open
My 03 navigator keeps telling me there is a door open. I slammed all of the doors and it went off, but after reentering the car, the same "door open" message came on. the only door i opened was the driverside, but after checking all doors, the message remains. it keeps my interior lights on, and is driving me crazy. Does anyone know where the sensor is when the door is open? could it be dirty, or can i change the sensor?

If it's not a pain for you to reset radio stations and clock, you may want to clear memory by unhooking negative battery terminal for a while and then see what happens, as a first test.

I believe that the '03 Navigator has the door switch mounted inside of the panel on the door latch. Try some WD-40 on the latch to see if it frees up the switch. If not, the latch / switch will need to be replaced.
