Im not a mechanic, but mechanically inclined and dont see how spark plugs would have a bearing on oil consumption. Spark plugs burn fuel, not oil.
Many Asian imports use NGK plugs; what are the original plugs?
What year is your car?
How often do you/have you changed your oil and filter?
Where do you live..and are you using the correct viscosity oil for your environment?.
Burning 'a little bit' of oil is probably quite normal.
Any leaks on the ground?
Is there oil in the spark plug well or on/along the boot cover?
Heres an interesting read...(+/-)

All cars burn a little oil, it's part of the lubrication process. Answer JATCO's questions and we will be able to give better advise.
