Jeeps front end shakes
1998 full size jeep cherokee, 4 wheel drive,automatic,126,000 miles, 4 new balanced tires, brakes fine. When I hit a major hole in the road the front end shakes badly. If i then stop or slow down it goes away. If I have to make a panic stop the front end shakes also, normal stops this does not happen. This does not happen when I am driveing under normal conditions even up to 80 mph. ?????????????

There's a rod that locates/stabilizes the front end of the Jeep.........Goes from the left side of the uni-body to the right side of the tube or front diff.....
If you look, you'll probably find the bushings at one end or the other have gone AWOL
