New Bumper Finishing ?

New Bumper Finishing

I replaced the bumper on my 99 Honda. I wanted to ask for direction on how to refiniish it? It is plastic, so I can imagine it being quite different from metal fenders etc. Can someone give me a step by step as well as what type of materials are needed?
Thanks
Bill

Go to an automotive paint store and they will set you up with everything you need. There is a 'flex' additive that is supposed to be added to the paint when painting bumpers and other non rigid automotive surfaces - it's not cheap

Basically you sand and clean the bumper, prime [if needed], wet sand and then spray on the proper coating [s] - usually a color coat and then a clear coat.

Also, to make it look OEM, you are going to need a paint booth and a spray gun.

How did you plan on applying the paint?
