Angry cam shaft sensor

I have a 97 dodge avenger with a 2.5L v.6 i'am trying to replace the cam shaft positioning sensor on it. the "haynes" manual does'nt tell me much except that it's in the distributor. I took out the cap, rotor, etc. everything but taking out the distributor itself but i don't see it anywhere. i've checked around and people are telling me it's on one end of the engine or the other.
STILL CAN'T FIND IT could some one please give me a drawing or something to show me where it's at. thank you very much.

Camshaft sensor is located on/in the distributor. You have to replace the whole distributor.
