Ive replaced the plugs&wires&adde fuel injector cleaner still idles very rough missfires. Is there a component thats called an idle speed sensor&where is it located &could that cause the problem or what else may it be?Thank u!

Did you find anything wrong with the last set of plugs when you changed them? And do you still have them where you can carefully look at them? Often people overlook to see if a plug has been steam-cleaned (head gasket failure sign), or if one plug has a fine hairline crack in the cone-shaped insulator near the tip of the plug by the electrode. (A steam-cleaned plug is really prone to the cracked insulator) - or if you have a lot of carbon inside as that can cause engines to fire at will/misfire.
There are a lot of things that can cause your miss, but I'm first curious what you have to say about your old plugs you changed.

No I didnt change cap&rotor, but too
k them both off&they looked ok, took it a step further&sprayed water into Dist.cap while eng. was idling& made no difference eng ran the same&yes ,other than the eng. missing it runs ok otherwise.

You only answered my question partially. I wanted to know if it just misfires while idling - only.
Why did you spray water? WD-40, yes. But water?

He probably sprayed water onto his plug wires with the engine running because if there was a leak in the cap or rotor, it wouldn't catch fire like WD-40. Jimfh, did you spray any water around the area where the intake manifold meets the cyl head to see if it makes a differance, or funny sounds. And as mentioned earlier, does it only miss @ idle, or even @ higher revs?? Roger

How many miles are on the car? Get a inline spark tester and attach to each plug until you fine the one that is failing then run a compression test to see if the cylinder has proper compression. If you have compression, spark and fuel it should make smoke and noise(a lawn mower guy expression). Have a good one. Geo
