HELP 2002 Jeep Liberty and electrical
WE have had fuse 34 (radio, power windows, locks, etc) a 15 amp fuse keep blowing...not a huge biggie since I have a lot of fuses...but recently my wife was driving, all went out, AND the gauges stopped working, and the car wouldn't turn off, and she smelled smoke as well.....I looked at it, and the fuse blew again, but now the dash gauges stay on (set belt, check engine, airbag, etc) when everything is turned off...any ideas on what it is?? or where I should look for a blow out??...we are taking it in to service (warranty JUST ran out of course) and don't want to get hosed.....thanks

Definetly sounds like a bad ground somewhere. Disconnect the battery and look at all the wiring near the fuse panel. Also check all the battery cables, aspecially the ground wires.

New Development On This Now....help!
again the fuse blew, and now all of the cluster gauges and lights will not turn on..headlights work...it drained my battery as well, so a ground problem is obvious, have a new battery,a nd can get it to a auto zone for a computer hookup...will that show anything?? I hate to just take it to the shop and have them tell me....well whatever they want!...I wold like to at least have an idea what this may be...saw somewhere about the "speed sensor on the rear differential controlling this" is that possible?? Or do I just need someone who can trace a bad ground....I am out of my league now....thanks
