front end problems

I have a 2004 ford ranger (i'm the original owner) and just started having trouble with the front end....at low speeds it creak's...like two pieces of metal rubbing together...any idea's on what to look for.....Thanks

Lightbulb Pop until u drop

I have notice some Fords, not just trucks, wearing out ball joints. I would start there. Look for busted dust boots on the joints them selves. You may want to check the outer tie rods also.

Ford has had problems for years with their suspension components............04 I'b be looking at the upper ball joints if it has stamped steel upper A arms............You'll probably se torn boots............and NO grease fittings so once the lube gets OUT and the dirt/water gets IN you're pretty much done for

I stopped at a repair shop and was told it was myrack and pion system (not sure about the spelling) is there anyway to double check this. thanks
?...

If it makes this noise while in park turning the wheel from left to right, then yes, it's probably the rack n pinion.
