96 trans sport low coolant light

Question 96 trans sport low coolant light

My low coolant light came on yesterday
so when i got home i checked the reserve and it was full and i checked the radiator and it was full what could make the light come on and it's running normal it's not running hot or leaking any anti freeze?

Some GM cars have a coolant level sensor mounted to the side of the rediator. I have seen alot of those go bad. un plugging it would make the light go out. Looks like a little black box with 2 wires on either side of the radiator.

Actually, I think this sensor is located directly under the coolant reservoir if my memory servers me right. You can either disconnect the plug for it, or get it fixed. If you disconnect it, just check the fluid every month or so.
