Smile Eaiser way to change a radiator fan on a Jetta III

I had to change the radiator fan on my 95 Jetta. I looked at the Haynes manual for my car. It said that I had to pull the front bumper, the grille, both headlights, and the radiator. I looked under my hood and found that if I disconnected the A/C hose (R134), and the upper radiator hose at the radiator end, leaving it pointed up to prevent coolant loss, I could unscrew the four bolts holding the fan to the radiator. It is a tight fit, but doable. It is easier if the car doesn't have A/C , so you do not have to deal with A/C lines nad the compressor for the A/C unit. I have recieved help from y'all before, so I figured that I should pass along this tip. Hope it helps someone.

If that was my discovery, I'd be right on the phone with Haynes.
