I have a 1999 GMC Envoy, 4wd not working, and yes i tried changing the dash switch no difference. I try to go into 4 Hi and the light keeps flashing same for 4 Auto, but it does go into 4 Lo i can also hear the diff engage but it doesn't for the other modes .Any ideas?

You can check the loom connections on the transfer case, but I suspect that one is beyond the DIY group.

Hope this helps,

If it's working in 4 lo, I suspect it might be a solenoid somewhere for the transfer case. You might want to pick up a repair manual and trace the electrical wiring.
