97 grand am key won't turn
is there anything besides the lock cylinder that would keep ignition key from turning?how do you remove the lock cylinder?

Try to turn the steering wheel from side to side while trying to get the key to turn.
Turn the steering wheel hard right and then hard left as hard as you can while trying to turn the key
