Question speed sensor

99 ford windstar 3.8 code720 speed sensor would anyone know how to find out which one it is i know it not the vss also would this cause the tranny to not shift proper when starting from stop

Code 720 - Output Speed Sensor

Should be located in the transmission, but accessible from the outside. Hopefully one of the Ford experts will come along with the exact location. It'll have an electrical connector and probably one or two bolts holding it in. Yes, could affect shifting; shifting in modern automatic trannies is done electonically using various input signals.

thanx now have to find an honest garage LOL has anyone ever try aamco and if so youthoughts about service
