Replace third brake light bulb

I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre Limited, auto transmission, 3800 series motor. I need to know how to get to the third brake light bulb #1155LL to replace it. Thanks!

Usually one of two ways. I think that yours is accessable by pulling the cover over the light on the rear shelf straight back toward the front of the car. If not, then it's through the trunk, directly under the bulb(s).

Remove the rear shelf trim panel (3). Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim

RE: 2000 Lesabre third brake light bulb

I can't get to the bulb through the trunk. I may have to remove the back of the back seat so I can remove the rear shelf as Brian advised. Thanks Again!

The cover should slide off or snap off; the trick is figuring out which way to slide it or move it. Last time I did one (wife's Camry), took me about 20 minutes of fiddling with it.
