autolamp control
I have a 2003 Ford F-150 crew cab 5.4.
My autolamp control is set to automatic but my headlights won't come on automatically. They will only come on when I turn the switch all the way to "ON" manually.
What could be causing this to happen. I have no problem with the headlights being on, they just won't come on automatically.
Thanks

I'm guessing the photocel sensor is bad.
Place a piece of paper or similar over this sensor. (usually it is located on the drivers side dash area near the corner of the windshield.
With the selector on Auto, they should illuminate, if not, the sensor needs replacing most likely. This would probably require the removal of the upper dash area which would not be fun.
