Kia tranny oil change

I need to confirm the location of the fill and drain plugs on a manual transmission in a 2006 Kia Optima with a four cyl. motor...lfb

Manual transmission are not built the same as auto's, so they do not have a typical dipstick and filler port.

Manual transmissions usually have two bolts on the gear box, one at the top (side) of the transmission, and a drain plug at the bottom/side.

You will have to look carefully for these. Sometimes you need a suction type hose or turkey baster to get the fluid out.

You will refill through the top bolt.

I've never reay heard of anyone changing this fluid on a 2006, are you having any problems?
