Question about braking sound
98 Plymouth Breeze (or Dodge Stratus) 2.0L 4 cyl
what kind of sound do you expect from hard braking?
I am hearing something like "reversed vroom." What I mean is the reverse of the sound that I hear during engine acceleration. I think it is actually the vibration of the rotor. (I don't feel the vibration on the steering wheel though) I am suspecting warped rotor, causing wheel vibration during braking.
What kind of noise would you expect from warped rotor? How can I verify warped rotor?
PS: The car has an ABS problem. No DTC code. I haven't done ABS diagnosis. I wonder if wheel vibration might cause intemittent ABS light to come on during braking. I am driving the car without ABS. I pulled the fuse out. Possibly a related problem?

If you had a warped rotor, you would definetly feel vibration through the steering wheel.
Most front end/suspension problems are usually felt through the steering wheel.
HAve you checked your brake pads?
Have you checked your tires to make sure they are wearing correctly?
Have you checked in your engine compartment for loose, missing, cracked vacuum hoses?
