Thermostat replacement trouble, '01 Buick Century 3.1

Cannot get a 3/8" driver and 13mm socket onto bolt(s) and in between exhaust manifold and/or fuel rail. Please explain in more detail how one even gets a socket onto these bolts as I only have two different 13mm sockets and no room for swivels/knuckles; T-body is definately in the way as well. Thanks for your help in advance.

top one u can get a 1/4 drive one and sometimea a 3/8 drive between the t-body and exhaust manifold

botm bolt a bit hard u have to go at it with a wrench going between the trans and exhaust pipe

not the easiest one to do in the world but can be done

Brian thanks for the (more) realistic assesment of that job. That was one of the most madening jobs. That back bolt was the worst. I could get a 1/2 in, open-ended on it, but could only rotate the bolt a 16th of a turn at a time. That bolt took two hours. My friend finally used a Sawzall to chop two inches off an old wrench and it went a little quicker.
