toyota antifreeze , worth the extra $$$

I have a '95 t-100

I'm replacing the radiator and the Toyota antifreeze is
$18 a gal

is it worth the extra ?

the manual just says use a quality ethylene-glycol

I don't mind the price difference as much as the drive to the Toyota dealer

is it worth the time and money ?

I wouldn't pay it. I use Prestone and change it every two years - never a problem = 235,000 miles.

The Toyota stuff may be better in some ways, but there are a lot of brands that work fine, are cheaper, and a lot more accessible. It seems like a lot of manufacturers promote their service items the same way.

Hope this helps,

Bob
