Are you saying that it will stabilize or "go back to normal" when you push in the clutch? That would tell me that it would be a driveline issue. Binding in the trans. or rearend?
Or possibly a dragging brake-drums? --> leaking axle seal or wheel cylinder?
Cheers!

not really what happens. its not acting like a drag or bind, more like loss of power, (fuel)?. Ex going down road 35mph, 3rd gear, starts to chug, I can push in the clutch, let it idle for a little and I can have power again. not always.
but sometime. idles great. starts fine. just looses power after roughly 15 minutes or sometimes quicker.

I'm starting to think it's your exhaust system. Something is resticting the flow causing it to choke itself out or battle itself. By pressing in the clutch your kicking the engine back down to idle speeds where the partially plugged exhaust system can handle the amount of air flow again.
The other check to do is your air filter. Could be that it's starving for air.

exhaust
the exhaust, that was one of my thoughts, the guy I got it from said he punched thru the converter, so I thought it might have plugged the muffler, the exhaust also had some holes in it and leaked. I replaced the whole system from header pipes to tailpipe. new o2 sensor.
also has new plugs and wires.
