'94 Escort wagon horn won't work

Looked in the Haynes manual schematic, but the book gives no location for the horn relay.

Any help is appreciated.

Almost all relays are located in a small black box on the fender wells in the engine bay. Remove the cover and it should be labeled.

Will look again tomorrow in morning. Found box with large fuses near battery, will look for another box tomorrow!!!!

Backfire Causes

Anybody ever heard of an alternator going bad and causing backfiring? I drove 180 miles in my 1986 Chevy, 305ci with no problems. About 3 miles from destination pulling away from red light the truck shuddered slightly lost power began backfiring and blew the muffler apart at the seam (8 inch seperation). The engine then died, voltage gauge was at 0 and the usual clicking sound was heard trying to retstart it. I was told a failing alt could cause this by 2 people, I had never heard of it before. So I am asking those with more know how than I have. I have changed the alt and am preparing to go out and buy a muffler,so before I blow another one up I have come here. Thanks,Read More

what does this noise indicate??

2000 Silverado, for the first few minutes that truck is running, but not all of the time, there is a water sound coming from what appears to be behind the dashboard. located toward the center. I don't know weather to call it a sloshing or gurgling sound. neither are exactly accurate but I can't come up with a better word. I am suspecting this has something to do with the heater core. There is no apparent leakage into the inside of the truck. At least not that I have found. Any guesses as to what I might be looking at? thanks.Read More
