Have to prime throttle body to start

I have a 1987 Chevy Blazer V-8. Put in a new fuel pump and gas regulator and the truck still won't start. I can prime the throttle body and it will start and run, shut truck off, won't start until I prime it again. Can anyone help?

Assuming you are getting pressure to the central point injectors, it only leaves the injector signal or a vacuum leak. How are the idle rpms after it gets warmed up? If they're normal, that leaves the cold start signal to the injectors. A chance it's a computer problem.

I would get codes pulled to see if anything shows up. Meanwhile maybe some of the Chevy guys here will jump on this thing.

Hope this helps,

Bob
