cuts off

i have a 91 chevy caprice classic w/305. when i let it sit for a little it's hard to start, it runs then cuts off. i've tried replacing what i thought was wrong with it but it keeps happening. can any one help? i was told it might be my air charge temp sensor, does anyone know where it is located @?

I can't say the problem would be the air temp sensor, but yours should be mounted in the lower half of the air breather on the distributor side.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Do you know enough about working on cars in general to be able to check for spark and fuel to try to figure out which it is?, or if both at once? And whst kind of fuel delivery system do you have?: carburetor or throttle body or individual injection to each cylinder?
